T.H.E. Co-op Membership Information & Responsibilites

Membership Information

We require that any perspective members meet with coordinators before joining T.H.E. Co-op.  This is done to make sure you understand the responsibilities and expectations of T.H.E. Co-op before making a commitment.  It is important that we are a good match and that we all share the same purpose. 

Membership Process

These steps are required to be accepted in T.H.E. Co-op.

1. Attend a Meet and Greet or schedule a meeting with coordinators.

2. After approval, we will discuss your roles in T.H.E. Co-op.
3. Complete enrollment packet.
4. Register for classes and pay your fees.


Class Registration

Current Class Members:
1. Complete your enrollment packet
2. Complete Class Registration Form and return it to T.H.E. Co-op by specified date & time each semester.
3. You will be invoiced within 48 hours with your child(ren)'s class enrollment confirmation.

Classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Current Non-Class Members:
1. Complete your enrollment packet
2. T.H.E. Co-op Coordinators will contact you on or after the specified date & time for each semester with class availability.
3. Complete Class Registration Form and return it to T.H.E. Co-op by specified date & time each semester.
4. You will be invoiced within 48 hours with your child(ren)'s class enrollment confirmation.

Classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis.


New Members:
New class members will be taken based on availability.
If class spots remain after Current Class & Non-Class members have registered, Meet & Greet events will be held to fill the remaining spots available. 
Class registration for new members will be through these events only!


All fees will be due  prior to the beginning of the semester.


Class registration fees not paid by the due date will result in spots not being held.  Spots will then be opened up for other members to register.


Classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  Classes are closed at the start of each session. Refunds will not be available after the payment deadline.
 

Member Responsibilities​​

-Enter the building through the main lobby doors marked “Office”.
-Exit the building through the wood doors in the foyer.
-Do not unlock any doors to exit.
-Do not prop open any doors. 
-Do not open any windows without permission from Co-op Coordinators.

-Sign your family in & out with a Co-op volunteer every day.
-Remain in designated areas of the building only.


Supervision

-Co-op classes, field trips and events are not drop off activities. 
-You must remain on premises with your children at all times. 
-If something requires you to leave the premises, then your child(ren) must accompany you.

Food

-If your child has a food allergy, please let us know.
-Make sure your food is labeled in the refrigerator and removed daily.
-Food is allowed in designated areas only. 
-Please supervise all eating and drinking done by your child.  Please clean up any spills or messes immediately.

Cleaning

-All members will be required to participate in the cleaning rotation. 

-A cleaning schedule will be created and distributed and include each member’s assigned cleaning dates and tasks.
-We are guests in this church.  Treat it and its belongings with respect.
-Clean up after your children.  If you use something, put it back where it belongs.

Behavior

-Come prepared to listen attentively in class.
-No toys or electronic devices permitted in classrooms.
-No eating or drinking during class.
-Be respectful.
-No running.
-Voices must be kept at conversational level.
-Bullying and inappropriate behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

Absences or Late Arrival

-If you are running late, or unable to attend a class or event, please email info@togetherhomeschooling.org.
-It is your responsibility to find a substitute for your assigned tasks.
-Routine absences or late arrivals can result in membership termination.


Field trips
-If you would like to schedule a field trip, please contact a Co-op Coordinator.  
-Please complete the field trip request form (available from Co-op Coordinator).
-Please have the following information ready:
     -Location
     -Date & time
     -Description
     -Ages
     -Fees
     -Payment method & deadline
     

Jobs

The following volunteer positions are available. 

If you are interested in one of these positions, please speak with a Co-op coordinator.


Teachers

Teachers will be responsible for creating and planning a class of their choice.  Duties will include lesson planning, classroom management, set up and clean up of supplies, assisting students and communicating with Co-op Coordinators and parents.  All teachers will receive a $25 class credit.

Assistant Teachers

Assistant teachers will be assigned a K-2nd, or 2nd-6th class to assist in throughout the semester.  Duties will include set up and clean up of supplies, along with assisting children and the teacher with various tasks.
 
P.E. Day Coordinator

P.E. Day Coordinators will be responsible for leading organized games such as kickball, soccer, or tag during our monthly park and P.E. days.


Administrative Assistant Co-Leader 

Administrative Assistant Co-Leaders will be a point of contact for members during T.H.E. Co-op day. Duties will include being available to assist members with questions and helping them find answers by locating a coordinator when necessary. They will also assist with making sure all children and parents are signed in on Co-op days and assist with collecting any forms and handing out the cleaning schedule.


Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistants will be responsible for monitoring the entrance between classes and making sure all children and parents are signed in on Co-op days.  They will also assist with collecting any forms and distributing the cleaning schedule.


Social Activities Coordinator


Social Activities Coordinators will be responsible for planning & facilitating games & activities and assisting with set up & clean up of T.H.E. Co-op's parties.  They will also assist in planning & generating ideas for additional social events to be planned for T.H.E. Co-op. 



Inclement Weather Policy

-Closings will be posted on our Facebook Group and website by 9 a.m.
