Art History for Littles

(Ages 3-7)

We will have fun looking at art through history. We will build a foundation of knowledge while working independently and collaboratively on creative projects. We will explore famous artists through books, gaining perspective on their lives. Each class will also have a play-based aspect to spark kids' creativity and confidence before making their art.



Science Meets Art
(Ages 6-11)
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.             Fee: $25

In this class, students will create fun works of art while exploring the wonders of science! From chemical reactions to circuit building, they will discover how art and science work together to make creative projects. 


Spooky Surrealism

Let’s explore the strange, dream-like world of Surrealism! From Dali to Magritte, we will learn all about, and try to create our own mind-bending artwork.



Talk to Me

(Ages 11-18)

In this fun class, we will play games and practice the art of talking out loud and on purpose. From ordering your own meal at a restaurant, to reciting a short piece in front of the class, students will learn tips and tricks to calm fears and connect with their audience confidently. 



HOUR 2


Digging with Dinosaurs
(Ages 3-7)
11:05 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.          Fee: $20

Explore the world of dinosaurs! Kids will learn about these magnificent creatures through books, activities, and fossil digging. 



Creative Movement, Music, and Games
(Ages 3-7)
11:05 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.             Fee: $25

This class will be a gentle introduction to dance and movement. We will explore some musical basics but ultimately focus on abstract expression. We will also play fun games that are hopefully new to your little ones!



Circles
(Ages 10-18)
11:05 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.           Fee: $30
Instructor: Emily Frisch


Learn to ‘get around’ in math by exploring fun projects and ideas that help us understand how spheres, cylinders, cones, and other geometric shapes really look and behave. We will build a top, draw colorful compass art, make a flying disk, build a dome, make a maze, design a pinwheel, and do other fun projects. Based on the book, “Circles,” by Catherine Sheldrick Ross.



Drama Club

(Ages 8-18)

11:05 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.           Fee: $20
Instructor: Joanne Durrett


This will be a casual, supportive space for anyone who loves to express themselves through acting or just wants to have fun and build confidence. We will use games and activities to work on vocal variety, physical expression, character building, role-playing, and improvisation. Kids will showcase and celebrate progress with fellow drama club members as we go.


Introduction to Fiber Arts
(Ages 8-18 or 7-year-old with parent)

Explore the exciting possibilities of string! Students will get hands-on experience with various tools and materials used in knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. They will learn basic techniques and complete small projects. No prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided.





HOUR 3


Seven Amazing Continents

(Ages: 3-7)
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.           Fee: $20

This class will travel around the world, learning about the seven continents as we go!



Eco-Explorers Club 
(Ages 8-11)
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.          Fee: $25

Join us for an exciting, hands-on journey through nature and environmental science! The Eco-Explorers Club is a fun and interactive program designed to inspire young learners to appreciate and protect the world around them. The kids will discover how to care for nature, help wildlife, and practice sustainability. 



Recess Games
(Ages 12-18)
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.           Fee: $ 20
Instructor: Robin Shoemaker

Teens: Let's get moving with some active, organized games! This class will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Kids should wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.



Between the Lines
(Ages 12-18)
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.            Fee: $20

This is an enrichment class for kids who love to read. We will explore the characters, plots, and themes of well-written short stories and perhaps even a poem or two. Everyone loves a good story. But as we delve deeper for hidden treasures between the lines, expect to be active participants in an exciting literary adventure.
