Under the Sea 

(Ages 3-7)

​In this class, we will learn about the ocean by studying a new sea animal every session. Students will enjoy crafts and games while exploring life in the ocean.



Marvelous Mixed Media 
(Ages 8-13)

The class will experiment with various media and materials, learn a variety of techniques along the way, and create unique works of art.


Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?

The book is written in "letter" format and makes concepts in economics, like inflation and government spending, easy to understand. In class, we will do some fun activities to understand how these ideas affect us as individuals.

Magical Media Art

(Ages 12-18)

We will explore fantastical worlds and create gnomes, dragons, magical swords, and more using watercolors, pastels, tempura, and even making our own puffy paint!





HOUR 2


Who Are the People in Your Neighborhood? 
(Ages 3-9)

Let's learn about jobs and people in our community! Join us for a fun class of crafts, stories, and activities about many different careers and roles we might pursue in the future.



Science Around Your World (2)
(Ages 6+)
11:05 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.             Fee: $30

Explore the scientific method and problem-solving using the book series, The Acadia Files. In each class, the students will listen to a chapter from one of the books and then work on a related activity or experiment. 
(Students do not need to have taken the first part of this class.)


Coffee Talk with Ms. Becky: Problem Solving Edition
(Ages 10+)

Coffee talk is back! Our fun discussions are always rooted in expanding our ability to listen, empathize, and communicate with more clarity. In this session, our fun, round-table gatherings will focus on up-leveling our problem-solving skills. From brainstorming with creativity and logic for high-quality collaborations to enhancing our life skills like time management and self-awareness, nothing is off the table!  We might even consider how we would tackle global issues happening in our own backyard, because with friends at your side and a delicious cup of coffee* in hand — anything is possible! 
(*or tea, juice, or lemonade) 
Snacks may be served, too. Please indicate any allergies. 



Circuit Training for Beginners

(Ages 10-18)
11:05 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.           Fee: $25
Instructor: Robin Shoemaker


This is an interactive class where we warm-up and cool-down as a group. Students will learn various exercises, discuss the muscles targeted, and explore modifications to challenge our unique fitness levels. The remainder of the class will be spent rotating through the different exercise stations, individually or with partners. 
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and a bring a water bottle. 



HOUR 3


Nature

(Ages: 3-7)
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.           Fee: $20

We will begin reading a song, book, or poem on our topic, followed by a fun activity, craft, or game. We will have show-and-tell and closing songs.



LEGO: Amusement Parks Engineering
(Ages 6-12)

Design your own amusement park in this super fun program! Learn how to use LEGO® bricks to build motorized coasters and other awesome rides.



Travel With A Twist
(Ages 10-18)

What happened this day in history, somewhere in the world? Travel to another country, back in time, to look in on an interesting event that happened there and then. One can work up an appetite while time-traveling, so we will sample the fare and maybe look in on how the past has influenced present-day culture and events in that part of the world. Please don't expect a heavy history lesson. We will enjoy the stories, taste something different, and do an activity that pays homage to the country we visit. ​

Architecture Appreciation
(Ages 12-18)
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.            Fee: $30
Instructor: Emily Frisch

Students will learn about historical architectural styles and their distinguishing features, as well as the historical events and cultural diffusion that caused architectural styles to become popular. We will learn to identify architectural styles in our community.

Homework: Optional out-of-class activities: visiting local buildings exemplifying architectural styles studied in class.
